Are you one that has tried to get off sugar by switching to snacks and drinks that mimic the taste? If so, you are only fooling yourself.

For years, I have told people they are risking their health by doing this, and now we are seeing more proof of that in research studies. Even worse…it doesn’t help with weight loss!!

After decades of thinking artificial sweeteners were the answer to weight control and preventing diabetes, scientist are now proving what I suspected all along. These artificial sweeteners actual change your body’s ability to metabolize things. Thus, causing you to develop a glucose intolerance and inability to metabolize sugars and starches normally.

For a long time, people felt obesity was getting higher and higher in the U. S. because of eating too much fat and sugar. Then, it was suspected that people believed they could eat more of other foods since they were consuming artificial  sugars rather than the real thing. They were WRONG…on both accounts.

Recent studies on sucralose suggest that artificial sweeteners interfere with insulin secrection and glucose metabolism. More studies have proven that it is not just sucrose, but other artificial sweeteners that are a problem as well. Therefore, we should all stay away from those diet drinks and other doctored foods.

So how exactly do the artificial sweeteners cause weight gain? Your gut microbiome effects your health in many ways, and a bad mixture can be very unhealthy. Israeli scientist discovered that the galaxy of bacteria living in your gut plays a BIG role in your health. AND when feeding mice the artificial sweeteners: saccharine, sucrolase, and aspartame; it caused them to develop glucose intolerance aka pre-diabetes aka insulin resistance.

Furthermore, the experiments on humans delivered the same negative results. So I URGE you to not just avoid sugar, but ALSO artificial sweeteners. Learn to like water and tea. At this point, the only sweetener I am still somewhat comfortable with is Stevia, and even that one, I can’t completely guarantee safety.
